Depuis quelques décennies, les connaissances scientifiques ont permis de mettre en évidence une menace majeure pour l’avenir de l’humanité. Il s’agit des changements climatiques anthropiques. Cela ne veut pas dire qu’il n’y a pas d’autres menaces, mais que sans climat viable, il n’y aurait plus de place pour les foules humaines immenses qui peuplent cette planète. Ces changements se manifestent avec de plus en plus d’ampleur. Or, les remèdes sont largement connus : cela commence par une réduction massive de l’empreinte carbone humaine.
Face à un constat aussi clair, la réaction logique serait la mise en œuvre rapide des politiques locales nécessaires.
Depuis longtemps, les lobbies pervers liés aux énergies sales ont tout fait pour repousser le plus possible les mesures nécessaires. Tout y est passé, du doute malsain, semé et encouragé à propos des travaux scientifiques pourtant « peer-reviewed », aux encouragements à toutes les fausses urgences pour détourner l’attention d’un public trop souvent sensible aux attrape-nigauds. On retrouve ces manœuvres au niveau politique avec le développement d’impasses liées au national-populisme, au social-populisme ou même à l’écolo-populisme. Tout cela a été analysé dans de nombreux billets antérieurs.
La mode actuelle est à l’antiwokisme : un chiffon rouge agité devant des colériques qui ainsi se focalisent sur un sujet intéressant, mais subsidiaire. C’est d’ailleurs un thème de prédilection des extrêmes droites qui espèrent ainsi attirer d’autres brebis égarées.

L’aide à la défense des Ukrainiens contre l’invasion russe de leur pays est une autre urgence, mais la menace de feu nucléaire brandie par l’envahisseur, si elle se réalisait, serait une manière absurde et totalement inhumaine d’aborder l’avenir, parce que l’agresseur serait probablement annihilé dans la foulée. Un holocauste nucléaire serait une façon débile de régler tous les défis qui attendent des solutions civilisées. Les atermoiements face aux changements climatiques, comme ceux face aux empiètements territoriaux de l’impérialisme, peuvent conduire à l’indicible.
Le Triptyque Économique est une proposition de sortie des compétitions mortifères de tout acabit. Si seulement ma bouteille jetée à la mer pouvait être repêchée et son contenu mis en œuvre par les femmes et les hommes de bonne volonté.

Faced with such a clear observation, the logical reaction should be the rapid implementation of the necessary local policies.
For a long time, the perverse lobbies linked to dirty energies have done everything possible to postpone the necessary measures. Everything has been done, from unhealthy doubts, sown and encouraged in relation to peer-reviewed scientific research, to encouragement of all kinds of false urgency to divert the attention of citizens who are too often sensitive to the catchphrases. We find these maneuvers at the political level with the development of impasses linked to national-populism, social-populism or even ecological-populism. The current fashion is for anti-wokism: a red rag waved in front of angry people who thus focus on an interesting, but subsidiary subject (see the link in the French section). It is a favorite topic of the far-right, which hopes to attract other lost sheep.

Helping the Ukrainians to defend themselves against the Russian invasion of their country is another emergency, but the threat of nuclear fire by the invader, if implemented, would be an absurd and totally inhumane way to prepare the future. Besides, the aggressor would probably be annihilated in the process. A nuclear holocaust would be a foolish way to deal with all the challenges that await civilized solutions. Procrastination in the face of climate change, like procrastination in the face of imperialist territorial encroachment, can lead to the unspeakable.
